Preschool Christmas Concert

Grady and London are friends.
Grady attends a preschool twice a week. Here is the two and three yr. olds singing or rather standing quietly through two piano solos, then busting out Jingle Bells at the top of their lungs. AWESOME!!

New Windows House #2

This is the second time dad Spencer has replaced the windows in our house. Our first house in Salt Lake City was cold and drafty and we need the thermal protection. In this house it's the hot Texas summers the new windows will help with.

This is the before shot, single pain aluminum windows
Taking out the old windows
Sean got a lesson in caulking, and apparently he has the perfect size finger for the job.
The new windows. They look fabulous!

It's Broken

Monday after school Kalia was complaining that her shoes were too tight. She mentioned she fell in Kindergarten gym class but after a few minutes of ice she was playing with the kids again. At home the shoes came off and the foot began to swell. Oh boy!

Tuesday Kalia wore slippers to school and limped around all day. I spoke to her teacher and also the gym teacher. I felt unclear with Kalia's talent for drama how injured she truely was. No major pain when you touched her foot, but it hurt when she had to walk on it.

Wednesday Kalia, Gray and Mom went to get an x-ray at 8:45am. We finally took the foot photo at 9:30, then over to our family doc and by 11am it was decided her foot was broken and we needed to see a podiatrist. So off we went (without lunch because how was I to know we would be at the doctors office for 4 hours) and without an appointment I felt compelled to go directly to the office when they agreed to see us immediately. So finally at 1pm we pulled up to the house with Kalia her new boot, Gray and Mom.
Safe, tired, and hungry.

Halloween 2010

Kalia was Rainbow Brite
Grady was a Knight
Grady was a space cowboy for his preschool parade. They had a wardrobe malfunction at school and that explains the costume change for trick or treating.

Grady had two meltdowns in regards to the helmet. My bad, apparently boys accessorize as much as girls do.

Our church planned a trunk or treat activity including a very delicious chili cook off. We went with a pumpkin snowman theme. Five years away from the snow and the love affair goes on.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

An Actress is Born

Kalia attends Colleyville Elementary. This year the school brought in a company to put on a school play. Auditions were held on Monday afternoon, 45 of the 100 kids present were chosen to participate in Long John Silvers The Search for Buried Treasure. Kalia was cast as a seagull, 1/12 kindergardeners to play the part. They held practice everyday after school. They learned lines, sang songs and were fitted with costumes. Kalia's main job was to run around the stage flapping her wings. :O) Opening night was Friday night. The show was fantastic and great fun as well. Kalia now calls a few 5th graders her friends, which is very cool, if you ask her.
