Sean had to work from 2 pm-5 am yesterday. It's 11a now and he is still sleeping. I need to run to Costco and as it is almost lunch and they have yummy snacks I invited Kalia to join me. She declines preferring to stay at home with dad. I'm fine with that and then she says "Mom you could make it a special mom's day" referring to my trip to Costco.

Awesome!!

Allie is laughing so hard it becomes contagious.

My brother Steve used to laugh like that, probably still does, I still remember sitting on my parents bed and something funny was said and we all started to laugh. As the funny faded Steve just couldn't stop. The laughter just kept coming until my sister and I started to laugh again which just ignited Steve's laughter again, he also has this giant smile that pulls you in and makes you feel his genuine happy spirit. What a gift happiness is.

Wanderings

On the 4th of July I realized my schedule was empty for the rest of the month. I floated an idea by Sean, "What if the kids and I get in the car and drive for a few days?"

We left July 5th at 6 am

(This is not my first spontaneous holiday and apparently last time I called Sean from the hotel after Kalia and I took a plane ride to our new destination, Sean says his first question was "are we coming back?, I didn't realize spontaneous wandering was on the outskirts of normal travel behavior and have thus learned to discuss my movements before gassing up the car, or buying tickets.
