Summer time

This summer is almost over and here are a few photos of our super fun times.

Drama, Drama, Drama!

Our little girls loves all things drama. Singing, dancing, standup comedy ( and believe me when I say, she's funny!) drawing, painting, telling stories and acting out.

I can only hope as a parent I foster her individuality and through the years I enjoy the unique position of watching her explore, experiment, create, and live her life.

Holiday Extraveganza

Our trip a brief synopsis:

Kauai-Sacramento- Visited the Wilder family checked out the new digs and dropped off the kids.  What a wonderful gift family is, especially loving sisters, brothers, mothers,& fathers who volunteer to watch the kids while mom and dad go on holiday in NEW YORK CITY!

Sacramento-NYC- Visited friends Bryan & Julie, sight seeing, missed the kids like crazy, got all dolled up, drinks at the Rainbow Room (with Tony award hopefuls) saw a Broadway show and ate the yummiest noodle soup ever!  Day 2... It was fantastic

NYC-LAX- Coast to coast a bit of a bumpy ride.  We met the family, all 19 of us, at Disneyland. In a nutshell it was a pink princess explosion.  The crazy water ride was the best fun.  We watched fireworks from the hotel!  Grady danced with a band of pirates.  It was a great time and we can't wait to go back.

Polihale State Beach Park

We spent the weekend at the beach. The weather was fantastic, we had a great time. We are definitely a family that loves the water. When we finally decided to go home and take a shower we asked Kalia what her favorite part of the weekend was. Surprisingly, she had an entire list, so here we go...
swimming,
playing with our friends Rosie, Evie and Vida, Chaser and Saylor,
riding the waves in the baby ocean (reef protected) all by herself,
the roasting of marshmallows,
sleeping on the sand,
eating daddy's yummy cooking,
playing sand toys with brother,
collecting shells,
throwing the ball for Ishmael,
and watching the sunset.

We thought a lot about our Polihale camp crew, we realized it will never be the same for us on that beach without the four of them. We wish them well in NYC and well... on the radical sabbatical.

If we one day find ourselves homeless, we decided this might be the perfect place to squat!
